Northcliffe Pioneer MuseumNorthcliffe

The Northcliffe Pioneer Museum poignantly tells the story of the State's Group Settlement Scheme, and of the migrant settlers who survived harsh conditions to bravely open the land.

The Town of Northcliffe

Northcliffe is in the heart of the lower South West region of Western Australia.

The key attraction of the Northcliffe district is its diverse natural environment. Northcliffe is surrounded by towering Karri, Jarrah and Marri forests, rich coastal plains and wetlands, and the spectacular cliff-tops of Point D'Entrecasteaux.

The pace of life here is relaxed, where peace and tranquility surrounds.

Northcliffe welcomes visitors with many sightseeing, leisure and recreational activities.

It was founded in the 1920s when the first Group Settlers arrived. The Northcliffe Museum chronicles a comprehensive written and pictorial display on the pioneering past of these admirable families.

Northcliffe's economy is based on dairy farming, timber and a burgeoning tourism industry.
