Housed in the heritage listed Old Sunnywest Butter Factory (1918-1974), the Busselton Historic Museum, nestled on the banks of the Vasse River, features a unique collection of artefacts from the early days of settlement.

The Town of Busselton

The Shire of Busselton, located in the renowned Cape to Cape region of the South West, is a fast-growing seachange community with one of Australia's highest growth rates.

The shire is home to many vineyards and premium wine labels, with substanital plantings of grapes in the area. Other industries in the shire include dairy and beef cattle, sheep, mining, tourism, timber, fishing and creative industries.

The town of Busselton is one of the most popular holiday destinations in rural Western Australia and a premier coastal playground for families.

The closeby township of Dunsborough, and the surrounding Cape Naturaliste area, are also popular for their safe swimming beaches and excellent boating, fishing and surf breaks.
